Millionaire Matchmaker. If you have seen the T.V show, Women love money, men love sex..sorry the only true and brave way to be truthful is to NOT watch this crap. It's worse than the W.T....

i believe all our worst nightmare are believing money will make our life's complete.
i am not talking about money providing life's comforts, but i am mortified that contentment and happiness always requires " more money"..ummm i need a window cleaner, a flashy car and a 50inch t.v screen to be happy.
money...well in my opinion we need money integrity to be happy, but it seems such a waste of life to search for the making of money more than ....well what i mean "hey" most of us have more money than most, and would the making or having more money really make you happier?.

Thanks for the reply Simon, which I agree with. More intersting is how have you found happiness not pursuing money? For many of us it's time spent with our child ( at least that's my happiness) others become writers, painters, cooks, voluntary workers...anyway responses appreciated.

posted on friends :-) anyway i hope everyone agrees even in disagreement, the discussion can be fruitful.
personally i usually find the atheism views more compelling than the christian view point, however i value both insights and conversations when the comments are respectful.. as it's coming up to eater, could i therefore pose the question to christians can you offer compelling evidence for the resurrection of christ?
evidence is a fact or a set of facts, or maybe i should rephrase my question " the resurrection is reasonable to hold to because of reasonable evidence that can be submitted for that conclusion" .
Surprised by the luck of response to the thread. Why?
Because I assumed each poster here had at one time heard the stories of " The Resurrection of Christ" and had been led to believe. Why were we so awestruck by this story of " Christ rising from the dead"?
Surely I am not wrong the cavalry must come charging over the hill with evidence that this event happened? If not at least tell me why the " Easter Bunny" is mentioned in this wonderful Easter story?

I am not a historian, and neither have I looked in to the contemporary primary source writings from the time period of Jesus, but I believe a point of contention is as " divergent" mentions the lack of documentation outside the bible about the resurrection ? Can anyone offer any outside documentation in support of the resurrection?
Also reading the bible versions it seems to me one has to subjectively pick and choose what passages to take literally and what not, I.e Matthew 27v52 -and the dead saints rising, from there tombs and entering Jerusalem. Which as " Witness My Fury" noted is a passage difficult to take tliterally?
However what I would like to gain from this thread, is to be converted by the arguments that Jesus rose from the dead, and evidence for the resurrection is required.

Please note reasonable people can so believe, other reasonable people may not so believe, however respect for posters age, education and faith appreciated. Now boxing gloves on :-)
Kate that was awfully kind of you, and let me assure you when you are eleven there is nothing nicer than that first kiss, even if it does taste of salt and vinegar crisps.
The Rebel.
It all depends what you mean by prayer, but when I was a child I was in love with a girl who had a wart on her knee, and I guess that was when I made my first prayer, in the hope that God would make her mine. It didn't happen but I have since kissed other girls, whose lips were wet, greasy and yuggy. So sometimes I still pray I could for once in my life find a beautiful girl to kiss whose lips were sweet and soft, and as tasteful as red wine and as the girl with a wart on her knee.

this thread is for when you have to say something to get it out of the system, whether it is happy or sad.
my reason for stating the thread is that on occasion some threads do tend to get a little heated here, and maybe this thread will enable us to reflect on the important fact, we are real people and not just dots on a computer screen.. i would love to start the thread with a bang, but nothing of particular interest has happened, only i do hope the weather improves as the climate i live in has been sadly chilly for the time of year, (if you get the deeper meaning).
the rebel..
Oh Kate, I am sure Giordano meant well, and I am sure at one point in your past posts you touched and awakened his sensibility to your suffering...I would therefore say whilst Giordana may have no clue about your current situation, this thread is about looking to the mountains and then the sky, and then orbiting around the discussion board and seeing each poster, as well meaning....and with the boundless circle of posters that have come and gone because they couldn't get along here in hyperspace I say...it's pretty naughty to bring personal controversies to a discussion board when the target audience is those like us who are or were going through what we once went through escaping the " truth"
So my question, now we have left the Jehovers Witness organisation, do we know where babies come from?
The Rebel.
however, i haven't found any evidence to support that belief.. have you?
if so please, show me the evidence that god exists, and i will believe along with you.. criteria:.
(1) you must specify which god you are talking about;.
Fisherman (q) " I do not see how liking evidence discredits it. I also do not see how conclusions about evidence discredits it?
The Rebel ( a) when you look at a beautiful man/ woman what do you look at first:-
a) Her/ his eyes
b) Her/ his teeth
c) The sanitex rubber body stockings that get the blood boiling.
Well the evidence is you may be wearing contact lenses, and he/ she may have false teeth, I won't go with what lies behind the sanitex rubber body stockings... So when you go to bed with a stranger make sure you are protected, and the same goes with the strangers you meet on debating forums, they may have nice writing and nice teeth but , they may still be wearing sanitex rubber body stockings.
Conclusion great points are made on these threads, but debate them indepentently and take your time, the conclusions you then come to may astound you....
